For a demonstration to work,
you need to ensure that all the components it needs are configured
and running. Check the following if you have problems running a demonstration:
Are the required components installed and configured?
For example, the Oracle9iAS Portal demonstrations work
only if you installed the Portal and Wireless install type, or
higher. Also, you must have configured the Portal component. The
Portal demonstrations would not work in the J2EE and Web Cache
Are the required components running?
Demonstrations work only if their components and OC4J demo instances
are already running. You can use Oracle Enterprise Manager to
check the status of and start up Oracle9iAS components
and OC4J demo instances.
ORACLE_HOME refers to the top-level installation
directory for Oracle9iAS.
host refers to the machine where Oracle HTTP
Server is running.
port refers to the port number on which Oracle
HTTP Server is listening for incoming requests. You can
check these values by clicking the Ports
