Grubby's head-over-eight-heels in love with an unusual girl in this exciting adventure. L.B. the Bounder sneaks up on Teddy, Grubby, and Gimmick, and uses the Reducing Machine to shrink them and the Airship. The wind carries them deep into the woods, where they find themselves at the "Bug Ball." There, Grubby meets a cute caterpillar named Karen, and he is swept off his eight feet!
Meanwhile,there's trouble brewing back home when Tweeg and L.B. take the special crystals from Gimmick's house. There's no one to stop them- or is there? When Karen starts spinning her cocoon, it not only chages GRUBBY'S ROMANCE, it changes Tweeg's plans!
